"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is on Netflix again.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is NOW ON NETFLIX!— Netflix (@netflix) May 15, 2020
And that’s not all that’s new this week... pic.twitter.com/JnJzaN6sDi
For some, that's all you need to hear to immediately close this article and go to the Netflix website. Considered by many (myself included) to be one of the greatest shows of all time (not just animated shows, shows of all time), the series has come and gone from Netflix multiple times throughout the year. The series is back on the streaming service though for a new generation of kids to enjoy. It might have something to do with the fact that Netflix is working on a live action adaptation of the series after the live action film by M. Night Shyamalan completely bombed, however reasons for it turning back up will be irrelevant for many reading this. For them, it's great to be able to watch "Avatar: The Last Airbender" again. And for most parents it might actually prove a good out to NOT spend $25 on Warner Bros. "Scoob!" today!
Despite the high publicity of the release (it was supposed to go to theaters and is now premiering digitally), the movie has been ravaged by the critics, so this will be a good alternative to budget minded parents who want to watch something a bit more acclaimed. None of this affects me too much since I've owned the entire series on BluRay for years, but it's always nice to see classic animation becoming accessible again to a new generation. Sadly, I'm going to be pouring over "Scoob!" later tonight because it's my job. Feel free to watch this series if you haven't seen it yet, and I'll let you know soon what my feelings on Scooby's new adventure are.
