A week or so ago, Twitter decided to have a trending hashtag that was actually fun and encouraged artists to 'redraw Sailor Moon.' There were no real rules except to use the above image and to redraw it however you'd like (why the above image was chosen I have no idea). It was one of the few times something that was intended to be purely done for fun trended on Twitter (until it wasn't fun anymore...thanks internet)! It got so big even manga artists and other professionals got in on the game! While there are simply too many of these drawings to go over (and they just keep coming), here are some of my personal favorites! The reasons why range from artistic, to goofy, to different, however they all were made with lots of love (which is something Sailor Moon herself would be proud of)! I have listed them below in no particular order. I have included no commentary. No critiques. Just enjoy the artwork and feel free to share what your favorites are!
Remember, if you want to join in on the fun, all you have to do is redraw the above image and upload it to your favorite social media account (Twitter, Instagram, etc) and attach the #RedrawSailorMoon hashtag to it. I look forward to seeing what else everyone comes up with!
